Wison Commenced Construction of its Floating LNG-to-Power Project in Nantong Yard
Release time:2021-01-26

Shanghai, China, January 26th, 2021

Wison Offshore and Marine (WOM) today announced that construction of 240MW Floating LNG-to-Power project, on which it invests and develops was commenced in its Nantong Yard, marking the official start of implementation of China’s first Floating LNG-to-Power project.

The floating LNG-to-Power project will consist of a floating LNG regasification unit (FSRU) and a 240MW combined cycle power barge. LNG will be regasified through the FSRU and transferred to the power barge as fuel for power generation, which will then be transmitted to the grid. WOM signed a contract with Shanghai Electric last year for the supply of turbines for the floating LNG-to-Power project.
