Shanghai, China - A delegation from Bureau Veritas, a leading technical authority in maritime classification, visited Wison Offshore & Marine Co., Ltd. (WOM) on October 18th. The delegation, headed by Mr. Alex Gregg-Smith, Senior Vice President of Bureau Veritas Group and President of BV North Asia & China, accompanied by Mr. Bruce Wei, Vice President and General Manager of BV North Asia & China, engaged in an in-depth meeting with Mr. Bangsong Hua, Chairman of Wison Group, Mr. Xuan Chi (Damien) Nguyen, CTO of WOM.

The focal point of the meeting centered around the ongoing and future collaboration between Bureau Veritas and Wison Offshore & Marine in the Floating Liquefied Natural Gas (FLNG) sector.

Wison Offshore & Marine (WOM) stands as a prominent leader in the Floating Liquefied Natural Gas (FLNG) industry, boasting a rich history of collaboration with Bureau Veritas (BV). Wison's first FLNG (Tango) for EXMAR was provided by BV with multiple technical support services in the FEED and EPC stages, and classified by BV.

Acknowledging the long history of collaboration, Mr. Bangsong Hua expressed WOM's commitment to expanding its offshore engineering projects related to LNG and SPB tanks. He emphasized WOM's anticipation of continued high-level technical support from Bureau Veritas in the realms of FLNG design, research, and construction. Additionally, the two parties would explore opportunities for strengthened collaboration on various offshore engineering projects, encompassing FPSO, floating wind power, ammonia and methanol production units, and CO₂ transport vessels. WOM also expressed interest in collaboration with BV in advancing its own technical standards and processes.

Mr. Alex Gregg-Smith, Senior Vice President of Bureau Veritas Group, affirmed BV's confidence in providing top-tier technical consulting, classification inspection, and other related services to WOM. He highlighted BV's experienced international technical support team in the LNG domain and expressed readiness to assist WOM in identifying and mitigating project risks while ensuring compliance with rules and statutory requirements with effectiveness and accuracy.
