Wison Nantong Yard Successfully Deploys A 2000T Super Giant Gantry Crane, Enhancing Overall Assembly Capacity

On December 1, 2023, a 2000-ton x 200-meter gantry crane, independently designed, procured, and constructed by Wison (Nantong) Heavy Industries Co., Ltd., was officially put into operation. With the same lifting capacity, the span of this crane is currently the largest one in the world. The crane is equipped with two upper trolleys, each with a lifting capacity of 2x500 tons (under the hook), and one lower trolley with a lifting capacity of 600 tons/50 tons (under the hook). It has various functions such as single lifting, double- hook lifting, triple-hook lifting, quadruple-hook lifting, and turning-over of ship sections, enabling it to operate under various working conditions.




This project breaks the industry-recognized constraints on manufacturing cycles, achieving a groundbreaking reduction in the manufacturing cycle from 12 months to 8 months. It realizes the goal of "commencing construction, manufacturing, and commissioning in the same year." This achievement no only highlights Wison’s pursuit of efficient manufacturing but also relfects its firm commitment to the customers.The on-time commissioning of this euipment further holds strategic significance for the enhancement of the total assembly capacity at the Nantong Yard, solidifying Wison’s credibility among customers.
