Release time:2023-04-05

On March 31, 2023, Wison (Nantong) Heavy Industry Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Wison Offshore & Marine Limited (“WOM”), held a steel-cutting ceremony in Nantong Yard for Eni’s Marine XII Offshore FLNG Project. Mr. Stefano MAIONE, Executive Vice President of Eni, Mr. Hua Bangsong, CEO of WOM (as the EPC contractor), and relevant staff members attended the ceremony.

Boasting principal dimensions of 380m (L) x 60m (B) x 35m (D), this FLNG is designed with a capacity of 2.4MTPA. With the topside modules weighing approximately 40,000 tons, it will be moored using a submerged swivel yoke system and is expected to begin LNG production in Q2 of 2026. The first cut of the hull steel signals launching of the full-scale production and construction stage for this project.

As a clean energy company prioritizing ESG considerations (Environment, Society, and Governance), WOM upholds the concepts of "safety", "environmental protection" and "sustainable development" and takes concrete steps throughout all the projects. At the ceremony, WOM emphasized specific requirements aimed at ensuring the fulfillment of these principles. Representatives of the project’s classification society, major suppliers, and construction contractors have made their pledges and signed the HSE Pledge of Subcontractor for Congo LNG Development Project at the event.

Mr. Hua Bangsong, CEO of WOM, extended his gratitude to Eni for choosing WOM as the partner for the monetization of natural gas assets in the Congo Marine XII. He affirmed WOM's commitment to leverage its expertise to support Eni in achieving quick production of Marine XII Offshore FLNG Project while prioritizing safety and environmental protection during project execution and to ensure the realization of the goal of “ZERO incident and NO harm to the environment" through high-quality execution of the project.
