Qidong, China — Wison New Energies has achieved critical milestones in the construction of its Qidong Yard in the Lusi Port Economic Development Zone. With full-scale progress across three core areas—the onshore production area, outfitting quay, and dry dock—the project is advancing efficiently and on schedule, demonstrating Wison’s strong capabilities in project management and execution.
As a strategic investment by Wison New Energies, the Qidong yard has attracted considerable attention since breaking ground. Notable progress includes the rapid installation of steel structures for the structure workshop and block fabrication workshop, alongside the high-efficiency construction of the painting workshop’s upper civil structure. Foundational works are also well underway for other critical units, including the integrated assembly, E&I workshop and the piping workshop. Meanwhile, 25% of piling at the outfitting quay has been completed, and superstructure work is moving forward. In early June, piling for the dry dock officially began, marking the full-scale kickoff of this major component.
According to the current timeline, the majority of the onshore production facilities are expected to be completed and operational by the end of 2024. The outfitting quay is scheduled for completion by the end of February 2026, while the dry dock is set to be finalized and brought into service by the end of June 2026.
The Qidong yard represents a vital pillar in Wison New Energies’ global competitiveness strategy. Once operational, it will significantly enhance the company’s integrated capabilities across the clean energy value chain—particularly in the design and construction of high-end offshore engineering solutions such as FLNG, FPSO, and other floating production units. As the project hits key construction milestones, the Qidong yard is set to become a new engine of growth, enabling Wison New Energies to deliver higher-quality floating clean energy solutions to global partners and to jointly seize the opportunities of a low-carbon future.
